11. Geometry

Geometry
Author: Ray C. Jurgensen
Published at: 20/05/2021
ISBN: 0395977274

First and foremost this is a proof-based book and a lot of time is spent presenting the axioms and building foundations for the student to be able to reason his/her way through two-column proofs. This is by no means an easy book, but it navigable by a diligent student who is willing to put forth the effort.

As the structure and Method series of texts, the exercises are good and tired to the level of the student with A exercises for everybody, B exercises for your better students and C exercises students for top-notch students looking for a challenge. Also found that time spent early on in getting the feel/mindset for the proof-based approach of geometry paves the way as you work your way through the book. Once you get the feel, it is possible to read the book and work ahead of the class without terribly much effort.

I have had the opportunity to see some of the texts that pass for Mathematics today. Unlike the watered-down texts that are foisted on us by bureaucratic decree. this book presents the subject matter of Geometry in a rigorous manner for the serious and gifted student considering a career in mathematics or physical sciences.

The Wonder Book of Geometry: A Mathematical Story
Author: Acheson, David
Published at: 02/01/2021
ISBN: 019884638X

Angles are valuable to learn because they can help to enjoy food and art. You can use geometry to evenly cut a pizza for your friends. You just have to learn how to cut a slice of pizza into a 45-degree angle. You will be motivated to learn how to position your wheelchair to get the best widest view of these beautiful sights. Acheson makes a reference on how to accomplish this by drawing a horizontal line and a circle at eye level.

David Acheson takes the reader on a highly illustrated tour through the history of geometry, from ancient Greece to the present day. He emphasizes elegant deduction and practical applications and argues that geometry can offer the quickest route to the whole spirit of mathematics at its best. Along the way, we encounter the quirky and the unexpected, meet the great personalities involved, and uncover some of the loveliest surprises in mathematics.

You know that moment when you feel as though a lightning bolt has hit you because you finally get something? That’s how this book will make you react. (We hope!) Each chapter makes sure that what you really need to know is clear right off the bat and sees to it that you build on this knowledge. Where other books ask you to memorize stuff, we’re going to show you the must-know ideas that will guide you toward success in geometry. You will start each chapter learning what the must-know ideas behind a geometry subject are, and these concepts will help you solve the geometry problems that you find in your classwork and on exams.

Sacred Geometry: Language of the Angels
Author: Heath, Richard
Published at: 05/01/2021
ISBN: 1644111187

Reveals how the number science found in ancient sacred monuments reflects wisdom transmitted from the angelic orders

  • Explains how the angels transmitted megalithic science to early humans to further our conscious development
  • Decodes the angelic science hidden in a wide range of monuments, including Carnac in Brittany, the Great Pyramid in Egypt, early Christian pavements, the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, Stonehenge in England, and the Kaaba in Mecca
  • Explores how the number of science behind ancient monuments gave rise to religions and spiritual practices

The angelic mind is founded on a deep understanding of number and the patterns they produce. These patterns provided a constructive framework for all manifested life on Earth. The beauty and elegance we see in sacred geometry and in structures built according to those proportions are the language of the angels still speaking to us.
